#1 Hi guys, i am trying to connect my xbox one controller to the NeoRageX emulator but it doesn't seem to work, and i need to know what im doing wrong, as i have gotten the drivers for my xbox one controller to be attached to the PC but i can't use it in the EMu any solutions? #2 Im sorry EmulatorZone Crew because im answering on this old post*There is no Posibility!* to do that neogeorage is old emulator *Only Can Emulate Pad!*use real pad like xbox one is imposible im recomend other neogeo emulators like :MAME, or multisystem bulid in calld RetroArchevery new emulator should use gamepad with drivers #3 It's only a year old or so, that fine. But yes I agree, the xbox 360 and xbxo one are xinput. That emulator support dinput, thus the only way to do this is with x360ce. x360ce will allow the xinput and convert it to dinput with a virtual joystick driver. Then in neorage you just use that virtual driver instead. Possibility is defined by the limits of your imagination.

Any controls seem slightly off with the default settings; running in No Man's Sky by clicking the right stick was finicky without manual corrections.(Credit: 8Bitdo)Hardware Alternative: 8BitDo Wireless USB AdapterSteam's Pro Controller support is welcome, but you're out of luck if you want to play non-Steam games with the controller because of how Windows detects it. You can fix this in one of two ways: using a hardware Bluetooth adapter specifically designed for multiple gamepad types, or using a software-based, XInput wrapper. The 8BitDo Wireless USB Adapter is a $20 Bluetooth adapter that lets you easily connect the Switch Pro Controller, Switch Joy-Cons, or even the Wii U Pro Controller to your PC. The adapter handles all of the XInput details, so connecting the Switch Pro Controller to it with the physical sync button instead of through your PC's Bluetooth menu makes it work like a PC-friendly Xbox gamepad.(Credit: x360ce/PCMag)Software Alternative: DirectInput-to-XInput WrapperThis is the most powerful and most complicated option. Instead of relying on Steam or a USB adapter to do the job, you use a software wrapper to translate the Pro Controller's inputs into a format that Windows 10 can better work with.X360ce is an open-source program that lets you control how Windows sees your non-XInput controller. It's a robust wrapper that emulates an Xbox 360 gamepad by mapping nearly any other input to the gamepad's inputs. The project is effectively complete and/or dead at this point; x360ce was last updated in 2020, but the program will work just fine even without ongoing development.Betterjoy is another program for getting the Switch Pro Controller, as well as Joy-Cons, working as XInput devices. Its most recent release is from 2021.Software wrappers should get the job done if you're willing to install and tinker with them a bit until the Switch Pro Controller works the way you want it to. It may take more than a bit of work; third-party driver wrappers are extremely finicky.(Credit: Will Greenwald)What About Joy-Cons?Joy-Cons are incredibly powerful and flexible on the Switch, but they're awkward on the PC. The good news is that you can connect Joy-Cons

#41 If this is true I might end up buying one before I ever consider owning the actual consoleI'd love to be able to use Playstation controller layout as my PC pad over 360, but motionjoy is such a crapshoot. #42 And a video of the controller properties screen Button listSquareCrossCircleTriangleL1R1L2R2Start?Share? (These 2 buttons aren't labelled on this controller, but button 9 is to the left of the touchpad, and button 10 is to the right)L3R3PlaystationTouchpadcourtesy of reddit. alr1ght bish gets all the credit :) #43 This is awesome, but do any plug and play USB controllers work on Steam? Or does it have to be the 360 controller? If it worked on Steam, that would be incredible. Big picture mode works fine with most controllers (Dinput and Xinput). #45 Well I wanted another controller for 2D stuff, so might as well pick up a PS4 controller then. #46 you mean Direct Input, not MS's proprietary Xinput. I honestly had no idea that XInput was proprietary. I figured that it must be free to use since most modern controllers support it. I guess I'll hold on to X360ce for a while longer then! #47 Additional "verification" was in the comment section of the Reddit post: [–]Halon50 161 points 23 hours ago*Hmm. Brb gonna try this (DS4 controller into a PC).EDIT: Yeah it works! For devs or enthusiasts who are interested in this stuff, it shows up on Win7 as a standard "Wireless Controller". The "Test Controller" properties shows 14 buttons and 3 axes of rotation. Here's a screenshot with the R2 and L2 buttons held halfway down so you can see them align with the "X-Rotation" and "Y-Rotation" bars. left stick position is in the box. The right stick is Z-axis and Z-rotation. I guess it's just like the XB360 controller in these respects. I can't seem to activate button 13, but button 14 is active when I click the touchpad down.EDIT 2: Button 13 is the Playstation button.EDIT 11: Button listSquareCrossCircleTriangleL1R1L2R2Start?Share? Still find it weird that he just happened to have access to a DS4 and stopped by the thread. Maybe super secret marketing? But even that would make zero sense, since Sony would get so much more good publicity by announcing it themselves.Edit: Would any devs on Gaf be kind enough to triple check if this works? #49 If they somehow got the speaker, headset jack, and led to work this would be epic. alr1ght bish gets all the credit :) #50 I honestly had no idea that XInput was proprietary. I figured that it must be free to use since most modern controllers support it. I guess I'll hold on to X360ce for a while longer then! Well it was developed by MS, even though it provides zero benefits over DirectInput. I don't know if they charge to use it, but a few Logitech controllers work with it.

/ 3 screen Virtual Pin I wanted to make people aware of an issue I found while playing this on windows 10. Win 10 must have done something with hotkeys and window manipulation, because the wrapper doesn't work properly.... the window doesn't resize and the game doesn't exit. My guess is windows 8 has the same issue (I was running win 7). Luckily there is an easy fix. Step 1: Right click FixitFelixJr.exe go to properties and set compatibility to windows xp service pack 3. Step 2: Do the same for FixitFelixJrFP.exe. Step 3: Right click on FIFJ.exe go to properties and check the "run as administrator" box. Now you should be good to go. Just a very late note that this game/wrapper does not seem to work with the Xin-Mo joystick encoder, it does not detect it.I even tried to use x360ce to trick it but no luck there either. It's been a while but IIRC had the same problem with the Zero Delay encoder (The wrapper shows an error "no Joystick found") -- I use JoytoKey and assign the keys to those that are configured in the wrapper (ie. up arrow for up etc.) and it works fine - then just make a quick batch file that opens joy2key and then launches the wrapper - ( i think that is what I did and it worked fine) « Last Edit: August 17, 2015, 10:09:58 am by JDFan » Logged I installed your wrapper yesterday and played around with it a little. Thank you very much for putting this out there Howard. Logged I'm glad everyone is enjoying it. I might add one or two requested features over the holidays, but no promises as this year seems particularly hectic. Hi Howard. First up thanks for your awesome work on this
