However, I have had decent results with X-Form (from Avid). I've tried whatever version of this has came with PT through the years and never been pleased with the results. So before I bite the bullet and drop $800 on a plugin I only need occasionally, I'd like to know if there's anything comparable. In fact, for that kind of money there very well could be entire DAW's I could purchase that offer an acceptable pitch/tempo change plugin. Fx usually go unnoticed (unless you have perfect pitch of course).Hope that helps?Also, if you are on a budget: I found XForms monophonic mode sonically very good on dialogue, BUT it causes glitches/hickups every now and then on longer vowels. So I would listen while printing and "re-pitch" a word that sounded weird from the SRCed original. That was my budget option, before going to Pitch'n'Time pro (XForm is part of ProTools Ultimate). However, the slight glitches are there in XForm, on the other hand sync was always perfect.Just my thoughts though, there are lots of tools out there and many opinions on the topic! Gear Addict Joined: Jun 2014 Posts: 303 🎧 10 years I share the same workflow. Samplerate convert the stems first. Pitch correct dialogue using Pitch n Time voice. Other stems either Pitch n Time harmonic or Elastique. But check the entire dialogue for artifacts. Pitch n Time voice sounds best on dialogue, but does not work on 'musical' or tonal sound elements. When it doesn't work, redo a small piece with some other preset and crossfade it together (this is also the reason for the 2 step method).Elastique has that gravelly, grainy, phasey sound on voices, just as pretty much all other plugins except PnT, but is still my go to pitch for fx and music.Xform works good on clean dialogue like voiceover, and is a good way to hear the difference with/without the gravelly sound, but has more downsides and artifact and also takes ages to render.
